You check the dentists’ credentials, education and experience. And you make sure the dentists and their team stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field by enrolling in continuing education classes. Who meets all of those criteria in Atlanta? Dr. Puskas and Dr. Refai. Read on to learn more about the dedication of these two dentists and the treatments they offer.
Meet the Dentists
Dr. Jane Puskas graduated cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She practiced dentistry in Boston and Toronto before moving to Atlanta and opening a private practice in 1994. Today, Dr. Puskas is active in a number of professional organizations. Most notably, she became the first female president and program chairwoman of the Hinman Dental Society in 2013. The Society, which focuses on continuing education for the whole dental team, is comprised of 800 dentist members in Atlanta, one of the large chapters in the country.
Dr. Anna Refai graduated with honors from the University of Chicago. Her interest in dentistry stems from a sledding accident when she was a child and needed to spend several years wearing braces in order to correct her smile. She augmented her formal dental education with advanced training. Dr. Refai completed a general practice residency and is able to offer patients a wide variety of specialized services including dental implants, periodontal surgery, wisdom teeth extraction and full-mouth cosmetic dental care.
Comprehensive Dental Services from Your Dentist in Atlanta
Whether you need to maintain your healthy smile, repair a damaged tooth or create a brand new and beautiful smile, you’ll find all the services you need in our office. We begin with preventive dental care designed to help you enjoy the best of dental and oral health. In keeping with the recommendation of the American Dental Association, Drs. Puskas and Refai advocate twice-yearly checkups. At these appointments, your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned and we’ll remove plaque and tartar, the two precursors to gum disease.
We’ll also examine your teeth for signs of decay or other types of structural damage. Annual digital x-rays allow us to spot problems between teeth or below the surface. These can be remedied with a variety of restorative treatments such as tooth-colored fillings, CEREC one-day crowns, or full and partial dentures.
Once the health of your smile is assured, we’ll be happy to discuss enhancing your smile with cosmetic dentistry.
